Yonkers Unveils New Gaming Building

Empire City at Yonkers Raceway will unveil the second stage of its gaming operation with a brand new art deco building opening Thursday. The new building will feature an additional 1,741 video gaming machines to compliment the 1,870 video gaming machines already in its refurbished Clubhouse. Empire City opened its doors on October 11, 2006. The facility will ultimately house 5,500 video gaming machines when the track expansion is completed in December of this year. It is anticipated that $400 million will go toward education in New York State annually. Empire City at Yonkers Raceway is open from 10 am to 2 am, EST, seven days a week.
