Up Front Jan-E-Lu extended her winning streak to nine in the third race, the second of four $12,500 divisions of the opening round of the White Ruffles Series on Thursday night at the Meadowlands. Although pressed a bit early on the first turn by Western Miracle, Up Front Jan-E-Lu had the lead by the quarter pole and drew off to her 12th win in 20 career starts in a lifetime best of 1:54 for the mile. Western Miracle was second and Kiss Me Once Again was third.

Up Front Jan-E-Lu, driven by Brian Sears and trained by Nat Varty, began her winning streak on October 19, 2006 at Hiawatha Horse Park in Sarnia, Ontario and continued her success at two other Ontario tracks, Georgian Downs and Flamboro Downs, before making her Meadowlands debut in this opening round division of the three-week White Ruffles for four-year-old pacing mares.

The Dragon Again mare, owned by C. Ed Mullinax of Amherst, Ohio, lifted her career bankroll to $42,845. The $50,000 estimated White Ruffles Final will take place on January 25, 2007.

Caviar On The Menu [$9.80, $4.60, $4.20] tipped out three-wide on the turn for home and took the lead with an eighth of a mile to go to capture the first of five $12,500 divisions of the opening round of the Super Bowl Series on Wednesday night at the Meadowlands. Four Starz Kid [$4.20, $3.00] was one-length back in second and, in a tight photo, Parnevik Hanover [$3.80] was third by four and three-quarter lengths.
