Vivid Photo captured the $100,000 Patriot Invitational Trot at Colonial Downs Friday in a world record time of 1:50.2. Sand Vic was two lengths back in second, and Earl’s Charm K (Earl) finished third, four and three-quarter lengths behind Vivid Photo. The 1:50.2 clocking equaled Tom Ridge’s record for the fastest trotting mile at any size track. The win was Vivid Photo’s fourth of the season for Hammer and co-owner Todd Schaedel, and pushed his career earnings past the $1.9 million mark.
