November 12, 2006

Total Truth captured Sunday's $348,900 Progress Pace Final at Dover Downs in a gutsy 1:52.2 effort over a sloppy track. Owned by Only Money Inc. and Teague Inc. of Delaware, the three-year-old son of Jennas Beach Boy--Babe Ruthless left alertly from post six for Ron Pierce and was parked to the first quarter in :27.1 by Armbro Deuce. Total Truth took the field to a :55.3 half and as the field entered the final turn, Total Truth stopped the clock at the three-quarters in 1:23.4 before he cruised home easily to win his seventh of the year.

Perfect Union came through along the inside to pick up second while Armbro Deuce salvaged the show spot. The victory was the seventh this season in 17 starts for Total Truth. The George Teague Jr. trainee increased his seasonal bankroll to a whopping $1.45 million. Earlier this season, Total Truth won the Pepsi North America Cup, Hoosier Cup and Cane Pace.
