Race Nine: $200,000 Dan Patch Invitational for Aged Pacers
#6 CASIMIR CAMOTION one of our personal favorites gave a credible performance in first start of the year in the Classic at Dover closing in 26.3 and will be a major player with any improvement off that effort, retains Pat Lachance and is one tough horse in the lane.
#3 WHOSURBOY has raced here twice previously and gets the services of Ricky Macomber Jr. who has won this race twice, won the Spring Pacing Championship at Woodbine in 1:49.3, still the fastest mile in Canada this year and has been showing good late closing pace on the speed favoring Woodbine surface.
#5 ESCAPE THE WIND our live longshot is another who has been closing well on the speed favoring Woodbine oval, qualified in hand closing in 26.4 in prep for this, look for him to be aided by the long stretch at Hoosier Park and anticipated lively fractions.
#9 MALTESE ARTIST new world champion is a generous 9-2 morning line but should end up as the betting favorite, Pierce may elect to float him out for early position and the look for cover as there is lots of early speed here.
