Analysis & Selections by:
Grey Stable Tony

Race One: $30,000 Claiming Pace
(1) IMTHATKINDACAM
drops after hanging when it counted but should be a factor throughout with his early speed and the rail. (4) FIRST AWAY brushed from the quarter to fast half from sometimes tricky post #1, expect Cat to be ‘first away’ when the gate opens.  (5) ATLANTIC SUNSET A drops after aggressive trip by Campbell taking him three wide in the first turn in big brush attempt pacing brutalizing 26.1 second quarter, expect easier trip. (2) BEST ALWAYS offered good late pace in fast race and probably content to sit and see what develops.

Race Two: FOUR LEAF CLOVER – 2nd Leg (D)
(1) ARMBRO BRANDO
third start off layoff and watch list horse pacing 26.1 last quarter off slow fractions. (4) FOX VALLEY GALLANT seems to be the in-horse with many off good closing effort pacing 54.1 middle half in third start back, value may not be there though. (6) THE ONE NIGHT PAN Sears stays aboard and expect more in 2nd start after even effort in fast last quarter. (7) JK ROYAL FLUSH responded to the handling of Gingras but should be content for what should be a decent cover trip.

Race Three: $50,000-$60,000 Claiming Handicap
(8) ROMMEL
game effort parked from post #10 pacing 54.3 middle half, should get the top easier this week. (6) AFTER LIFE Hartline has found the key with this horse as he steps up off another sharp close in 27.1. (7) EXTENDER N drops after getting parked in brush attempt pacing fast 3rd quarter, should have good cover behind After Lif.e

Race Four: $100,000 Claiming 4&5-Year-Old (D)
(7) MT VERNON HANOVER
hasn’t had a bad race since returning from the layoff and expect that to continue after long uncovered effort, should be closing fastest of them all. (4) ARMBRO BECALM Millers’ choice of 3 brushed easily to victory in last, similar scenario in order but at short odds. (5) THREE QUARTER CAM a watch list horse for being used rather hard brushing to fast half.

Race Five: OPEN
(1) EATON ROAD KILL
Sears admits he hasn’t been sharp but expect more aggressive handling from this spot and decent mutuel. (7) LIFE SOURCE is back on his game with sharp pace on both ends of his mile and will fire out looking for his pocket trip. (5) LANDMARK HALL steps up to the Open after getting the ideal trip and also aided when Arts Cam pulled up, Silva has him back in shape but may be overbet.

Race Six: Non-winners of $15,000
(9) ART MAKER
26.4 last quarter in tough trip getting blocked in the stretch, previous watch list horse, Pierce bails but we will give one more chance. (2) MIRACLE MAN N Pierce’s choice of 4 comes off a scratch sick but was game in defeat in his 2nd US start.  (1) KING TUTPANKHAMEN had little chance off poor cover as the beaten favorite on the drop to this level, Berry should get aggressive from this post. (3) MOXIE was buried but showed some signs of life pacing 26.3 last quarter off slow fractions.

Race Seven: $40,000 Claiming
(5) CAMBERT Morrill’s
choice over the 4 returns from the half miler and was airborne in his last start here. (4) FRANCO TRUBROOK N reclaimed by Cassar after flashing good pace on both ends, gets Sears and should be firing out again in search of pocket trip.  (3) REGENT HALL forced to ride the rim from post #9, another headed to the front. (6) ARTS ADVANTAGE mysteriously drops below level of Oakes claim after good uncovered effort in which Miller dropped his stick.

Race Eight: Non-winners of $10,000
(1) TOMMY’S LUCK
finally gets some major post relief, paced 54.0 middle half in Town Champion’s blowout mile on 3/5. (2) YANKEE SENSATION on the comeback trail and free falls in class, Pierce returns after getting impeded in first start in over 8 months.  (9) HENSCHKE A Ryder reclassifies to conditioned ranks after showing sharp 26.4 close off poor cover in fast race for class, threat if Sears can leave for position. (4) DRAGONDOTCOM closed with some good late pace behind poor cover, previous attempt brushed from post #1 and tired in aforementioned Town Champion’s big mile, look for him to possibly fire out.

Race Nine: $30,000-$35,000 Claiming Handicap
(4) PAIR OF CARDS
offered sharp 27.3 close in fast race in first for the Boudon barn, race may set up for him with lots of early speed.  (7) SILVER RUSH flashed good speed on both ends in fast race, Miller likely to send him again. (1) TYPHOID makes his first start for astute connections and paced 55.1 middle half in aforementioned fast race, should be in the early hunt with his speed and may get the ideal trip. (10) HOTINDIANANITE weakened after setting fast half for class and goes 1st time for good claiming trainer but going to be hard pressed getting to the front from here and Campbell may have to just float him out early.

Race 10: FOUR LEAF CLOVER – 2nd Leg (D)
(7) MALTESE ARTIST
Pierce’s choice over Francam found it hard to make up ground off slow middle half by Town Champion may choose off the pace tactics this week. (3) SHATTERED HALO beaten favorite was given an nice closing trip by Campbell pacing 54.3 middle half and same may be in store. (8) TOWN CHAMPION simply stole Leg 1 pacing 57.0 middle half, things may not be as easy as others looking to qualify for final.

Race 11: $100,000 CL 4&5-Year-Olds (D)
(5) HOP SING
faded as the favorite for the suddenly over aggressive Campbell, quick 2nd quarter brush in 26.1 from post #1 loosing to the pocket sitter. (6) GLORS BOYS offered good speed on both ends in sharp effort. (9) PRINCE VINCE raised in class after the brush and crush in powerful mile, but hasn’t been as effective from outside posts. (3) ORAGAMI ARTIST offered steady close in first start off short layoff any may see some of his early speed.

Race 12: $40,000 Claiming
(7) RICKARDS ED
giving this horse a serious look as Cassar reclassifies him after trip over the track getting in some good work in fast 2nd quarter upon ship from Pompano, but note Pompano line of 2/26, watch the board. (8) NATIONAL ARTCHIVE will be overbet as he goes first time for Oakes after game mile from post #1 (5) NORTHRN SUN Pierce’s choice of 3 is always always does his best racing at the BigM and look for him to leave also. (3) YOUMUSTBEKIDDING steps up off perfect covered trip win off fast fractions.

Race 13: Non-winners of $7,500
(5) REAL LIAR
lets end this this night with a live longshot, offered good late pace in 26.4 out of nowhere off slow half and gets switch to Morrill. (6) BIG STYLE KYLE Lachance astutely drops him off the claim and has been one hard luck horse. (8) FRANCO CATAPAULT N free falls in class and nothing like the horse we had seen on 1/8, suspect morning line favorite. (7) ROYAL KNIGHT offered nice late pace in his qualifier against some good ones.
