for Saturday, November 19th – Fall Meet
Analysis by: Grey Stable’s Tony Lasinski
A Note from Tony: We’re back and thanks to Kim and Odds On Racing for having us be a part of their great website for a 2nd year … and its that time again, the opening of the Fall Harness Meet featuring Breeders Crown Elimination Races this weekend … we will recommend treading lightly and definitely look for betting value with horses coming off long layoffs and elimination races.
Race One: Breeders Crown Elim - 2YO FT (D) (7) CLAUDIA only blemish is drawing post #8 in the NYSS Finals at Saratoga and we get a nice switch to Miller (8) PURE IVORY impressive in ONSS Finals and Condren should have her in position early (3) QUICK CREDIT couldn’t hack the uncovered route at Dover but can sit a nice trip
Race Two: Breeders Crown Elim - 2YO C> (D) (5) CHOCOLATIER uncharacteristic miscue at Woodbine the only recent blemish, Ackerman’s turned down $1 million for him so he must be special (3) GLOBAL GLIDE was on a form spree of his own until last two breaks, major closing threat and upsetter (2) MR PINE CHIP impressive qualifier at the Meadows
Race Three: Breeders Crown Elim – 2YO C&GP (D) (1) JEREME’S JET continues to impress in his short career, short odds expected from the rail (3) ARTSTANDING always the bridesmaid to the top dogs in the division (6) WESTERN CYCLONE major player if he drew better in this short field but likely content to qualify easily
Race Four: Oil Burner Series 3YO C&G – 1st Leg (6) HES DETERMINED gets a break from the top colts and major driver change (1) BRIAN and KELLIE fast speed badge taken at Balmoral should be in thick of things from the rail (4) STILL CHUGGING didn’t seem to care for the half miler at Freehold, improved effort uncovered at Colonial (9) SECRET WEAPON major threat if Sears can get him in good early position
Race Five: Breeders Crown Elim – 2YO C> (D) (5) RC ROYALTY we have been following him since his appearance at the Syracuse Mile when Daley was very optimistic about his talent, should be controlling the action (3) CAPETOWN HALL was able to beat RC Royalty with first over effort in track record time at Dover and may be sitting ideal trip (7) RACE FAN was well backed in the Matron Final and made the untimely break, probably content to close and qualify
Race Six: Breeders Crown Elim – 3YO C&GP (D) (1) ENTRY-Village Jolt the Adios winner hasn’t been able to get the job done in any final since but should control this one (2) STONEBRIDGE REGAL was hampered with post #7 at Dover, maybe over his problems and expect a good performance (3) GLITTERING BEACHES went a big trip in the Progress Consolation and expect him to sit and qualify easily
Race Seven: Breeders Crown Elim - 3YO FT (D) (3) CAVIAR CREAM PUFF this grey filly is as tough as they come and only blemish is drawing post #8 in the Matron Final (1) ENTRY-Passionate Glide overcame 4 bad post #9 draws and too sharp to ignore but may be overbet (8) MACARIA HANOVER no slouch herself with big effort in the Matron Final, look for her to leave here
Race Eight: Breeders Crown Elim - 2YO C&GP (D) (5) WESTERN ACE latest Teague sensation is a tough little guy with a big heart and hard to look against even at low odds (3) PALONE RANGER Ryder says he is better on the big track and Sears should look to control it (1) TOOK HANOVER well though of colt went a big pressured mile in the Matron and should be right there early from the rail
Race Nine: Breeders Crown Elim - 3YO C&GP (D) (2) AMERICAN IDEAL world record holder didn’t make too many bettors happy last week in prep for this but gets post position edge on main competition (6) ROCKNROLL HANOVER expect Sears to leave in search of the eventual pocket trip (4) GRYFFINDOR has been very sharp himself but has done his damage on the half milers
Race Ten: $75,000-90,000 CLHC (6) DREAM ROCKET seem over his breaking problems that bothered him earlier this meet, beaten fave had a tough trip at Freehold in the Invitational off the scratch sick (1) ONLY CHOICE the roan makes his BigM debut for Rucker and can be a factor is he can get off well from the rail (8) TIBERON flew home in last start at Woodbine against better, expect Pierce to send him
Race Eleven: Oil Burner Series 3YO C&G – 1st Leg (7) MINOR DE BEST is much de best here (4) CAMS CONQUEROR beaten favorite in his last two may look to leave for a trip (5) TATOO HALL Cullipher listed to drive, even 3rd to Jug Winner P Forty Seven in the Jug Preview at Scioto
Race Twelve: Oil Burner Series 3YO C&G – 1st Leg (2) SOUTHWIND MCGRAW not shot in last from post #8 and slow half, prior sharp form (4) SUPER EIGHTY EIGHT makes his first start in almost two months off two qualifiers, the last a sharp front end effort at Mohawk (5) T ROY HANOVER is 2 for 2 since his short rest and gets Sears
Race Thirteen: $50,000 CL (6) FIRSTLINE VALIANT impressive wins in his last two at Grand River and Brennan’s choice of 3 (7) TOO MUCH GUN erratic horse is raised back in claiming price and expect more of an aggressive effort with Pierce (4) CRAZY FOR EVER got the win off the claim and decent effort in the Open at Pocono in fast time, should be firing out
