A Note from Tony:  I will be back on a limited basis this year due to my regular work schedules along with my schedule at Vernon Downs…

Race 1) nw 7500
#9 TATTOO HALL
couple of tough trips in the Complex Series, the fastest on paper, but that doesn’t always work out … #5 BEACH ROMANCE N went 3 wide around parked out horse while no threat, took his 1:49.3 mark here last year and does have good early speed for position
#10 JA’S OUTLAW
beaten fave in the opener last Saturday broke at the start and had a tough trip, Pierce’s choice of 4 might have him hustled out for better early position

Race 2) nw3 cd
#4 SURE DUFFY
Sears’ choice of 3 lands in the Scott Rollins barn after never seeing the rail from post #9 in game effort in last start at Woodbine #1 LOOSELIPSSINKSHIPS doesn’t have to deal with Devilfish tonight and exits the Clyde Hirt series were he closed sharply in both starts but Cat must get him better positioned early from the rail     #2 KASHAKAHN the Galbraith homebred was overbet in his last start after an ez win and faded after being on an open lead and similar scenario may be in store

Race 3) nw5 cd
#1 CAM’S CONQUEROR
game uncovered effort into the wind, drops significantly from the high price claimers and Andy Miller should look to brush early #6 PEMBROKE TOUCH gets Sears as Brennan opts for #3 Austins Best, should be leaving and like last week, may be able to parlay a nice pocket trip, like many of the winners last Saturday night #4 ABSOLUT HALL rare pacer in noted trotting stable, will give him the late closing nod over JJ’S GAZETTE

Race 4) 75,000-100,000 CLHC
#8 FLORIDA BOY
the Florida bred is the current king of claimers and is back in this week for the Sears family looking for 4 in a row #4 TRUE FORCE left from post #7 and tucked, came 1st over in impressive performance in fast time for the night…I know my friends at VIP stable like him a lot since they rarely re-claim a horse #1 SEEYOUINMYDREAMS another one of 11 favorites that took it on the chin last Saturday night as like many, faded late after brushing to the front end may elect to sit from this inside post

Race 5) PRESIDENTIAL FINAL – FFA PACE (D)
#6 NUCLEAR BREEZE
will rebound tonight as he didn’t look like himself last week as he had a lot go wrong for him including loosing a shoe in the post parade and dealing with the strong winds in a race that didn’t really matter except to keep his win streak alive   #3 LOAD THE DICE winner of 5 of his last 6, pulled the 3 hole past the half and came home sharply in 26.1 beating Nuclear Breeze in another sharp effort #4 HOP SING closed sharply when clear in Leg 1 and the early speed threat and should get a nice rail trip

Race 6) nw 17,500
#7 ARMBRO BARNES
beaten fave last time with Sears but he tired keeping up in a quick early pace, Sears will likely be leaving again #9 QUALITY WESTERN draws poorly again but gave a gritty uncovered effort into the wind, Dube should have him out for early position once more
#4 MATA HARRY is a watch list horse as he was parked past the quarter, faced pressure setting the pace in a fast half and gave way late, will probably be looking to the front again

Race 7) THE COMPLEX FINAL - 5YO and Under (D)
#1 REAL MEAN ART
was a highly regarded 3 year old, raced very game last week in his 3rd start off layoff after being shut off in Leg 1 #10 SOUTH PARK HANOVER track record holder at Tioga Downs and a horse I got to see race a few times this summer… draws the worst of it, but woke up again last week and may be the fastest of the late closers and of course, Silva barn always tough in these D-barn finals #4 EWIE DUNCAN N physically imposing NZ bred looks to be the real deal as he has been impressive in both US starts, another late closing threat but not sure what betting value he will offer

Race 8) 40,000 CL
#5 GENERAL CHALLENGE
1st start for Fusco and 3rd start off short layoff as he got some speed work in last week and like all the front end horses, faded lated, runs these down from off the pace tonight #7 ESCAPE ATTACK drops back down after being overmatched last week, Dube will have him firing out for the lead #9 REDSTONE RUCKUS is a watch list horse as he brushed past the quarter, set a fast middle half and gave way late to the pocket sitter but may have a long way to come tonight

Race 9) 30,000 CL
#2 HIGHLAND PRIDE A
folded late after two move effort in last weeks tough front end conditions, drops and Gingras may have him on the move early #7 CHARMS SHARK the hot commodity in the claiming ranks didn’t fire off cover last week but goes 1st time off Kesmodel claim for the astute Larry Baron and VIP stable #9 PATCH ADAMS N has improved off his confidence building wins in nw 6500, beaten favorite last two is always a consistent closing threat

Race 10) nw 28,000
#2 RARE EARTH
looked like his old self as he was parked early past the half, yielded and exploded sharply late for the win #7 GEORGIA PACIFIC was impeded when Art Make broke in the stretch, fires out looking for the pocket #6 EYES ON KASSA returns to the BigM and Gingras after sharp confidence building win at Yonkers

Race 11) 50,000-55,000 CLHC
#2 MY WICKED WILLIE
continues his rise in class after another sharp 1st over effort against a good group of nw 17,500 #1 PREMIERONBROADWAY takes needed drop and Sears should have him brushing early #8 EXTENDER N got a nice cover trip last week and held well for second in a fast race

Race 12) nw3 cd
#5 REAL ONE AND ONLY
was rank in the pocket last week but a threat at this level and should offer some decent value #6 NATURAL TALENT has been super sharp off the Boudon claim and is hard to look against even at a short price #7 WESTERN MAC is 2 for 2 off the Kesmodel claim coming home in both races in 26 and change

Race 13) nw 10,000
#6 DOUBLE RN
was one our top plays 2 weeks ago in an impressive 2 move effort in 2nd US start, gets a free ride in condition #8 PEMBROKE FLEX steps up and is another one of our watch list horses as he set a very fast half and lost late to another pocket sitter, ending a good night for trainer Randy Bendis #3 MULCAY N has been one of the few sub par Silva barn performers, drops again and wouldn’t use on top but can get a good piece with these
