Back To Player's Guide

Race One:  nw 12,500
(9) NON COMMITAL A consistent finishes and early speed in the Opens at Pocono and major switch to Brennan (3) LITTLE ROCK SPUR showed signs of life @ 80-1 closing well in 27.2 in fast last quarter gets trainer switch to Czermann and switch to Sears (6) REYNOLDS HALL left shuffled and like #3 offered good late pace in 27.2 in fast last quarter, leaves for a trip  (8) UP FRONT BRAD steps up off good closing effort in 27.1 off the shuffle

Race Two:  nw3 4YO and Under
(1) STATELY HOSS broke as favorite in PASS, prior strong closing efforts here  (3) BEAUTIFUL STRANGER like many, gets away from Tattoo Hall and Copper Color, Sears may get more aggressive (10) KEYSTONE ELI exits sharp uncovered win in PASS, Gingras will have to leave for position (4) SAHARA HALL 1st start lasix for Silva and major closing threat if Dube can get him in decent early position

Race Three:  GOLDEN GIRLS FFA MARES (D)
(1) BURNING POINT awesome performance in Breeders Crown setting fast pace and facing pressure (5) GLOWING REPORT no shot trip 3 wide, getting beat in stakes finals by racing off the pace, should revert back to her early speed tactics (7) BORN STORYTELLER another splendid performance in the BC going uncovered and battling gamely but may be at mercy of short field (6) MARNIE HALL showed rare speed from post #10 and raced well off scratch sick, expect improvement

Race Four:  MISTLETOE SHALEE – FINAL (D)
(3) MY LITTLE DRAGON last years 2 yr. old champ has come back firing and hard to deny at short odds with Sears (8) ARMBRO DANCER battled gamely versus My Little Dragon in the Tarport Hap, shuffled in elim (4) DARLIN’S DELIGHT top NYSS filly proved no match to the choice in last meeting (5) BIKINI BOTTOM major closing threat should be set up for ideal cover trip from this post

Race Five:  nw 12,500
(8) ALLAMERICAN LUXOR steps up set life mark setting fast fractions after 2 months rest (4) IMAGE OF DAWN not fan of horse or driver but paced back half of 54.3 in fast mile, threat if Lachance can utilize horses early speed and look for pocket trip (6) ALLAMERICAN INCA drops slightly again after tough trip  (1) SAND SAX Sears usually gets aggressive with this one with inside post

Race Six:   US PACING CHAMPIONSHIP FFA (D)
(6) MALTESE ARTIST left from post #9 securing lead in fast quarter, hopelessly caught inside in questionable drive (1) PONDER always gives his best and will have to again as 1st over trip may be in store (2) DR NO got parked past the blistering quarter from post #10, yielded and day was over, may look to brush early

Race Seven:  HAMBLETONIAN OAKS (D)
(3) EMANTEE watch list horse for sharp trot in 28.0 finding room off the rail in fast last quarter and could surprise with another trip and could start big afternoon for Sears/Smedshammer
(6) PASSIONATE GLIDE the one to beat has been getting treated for hamstring problems even though she raced well uncovered into fast last half…just keep in mind the last 2 Hambo cards Pierce did not come through with 2 heavy favorites, RAINBOW BLUE who broke and MR MUSCLEMAN who threw in a poor race (1) SIMPLE TASK Takter returns after another 2 mover effort (9) CELEBRITY SWEEDIE would like better with improved post, watch list horse for sharp 27.3 close in fast last quarter

Race Eight:  HAMBLETONIAN FINAL (D)
Anyone who has reviewed our analysis for the Hambletonian the past 2 years knows our respect for Trond Smedshammer as we released Windsongs Legacy and last year Strong Yankee ….

(6) MR PINE CHIP deserved favorite comes into race perfect for the year and Sears aboard, trotted home confidently in 27.2 on his own, he will probably offer little betting value, so we will probably box the Smedshammer horses and play to win either (4) HERE COMES HERBIE or (2) BLUE MAC LAD. HERE COMES HERBIE is a tricky horse but is a major closing threat if Trond can keep his mind on business (2) BLUE MAC LAD will no doubt be out and gunning even though he closed very well like MR PINE CHIP in 27.2   (10) CHOCOLATIER is our (along with many) sentimental favorite for ‘old school’ horsemen, cautiously handled then trotted home very sharply and will be primed but post #10 may prove too much to overcome   (8) GLIDEMASTER Burgess has prepped him well, got outkicked by Mr Pine Chip but was after uncovered journey, closing threat but may have to far too come

Race Nine:  OPEN
(3) EYES ON KASSA great claim for Czermann, leaves for another pocket trip (4) LANDMARK HALL maybe gunning it today (6) RODDYS BAGS AGAIN watch list horse for super uncovered effort in fast 3rd quarter (1) ROB ROY MATTGREGOR Gingras choice may not be helped by the rail

Race Ten:   NAT RAY FFA Invitation TROT (D)
(6) SAND VIC Crown champ may revert back to his late closing style (5) RIPPED adds potential value for exacta’s as he been super sharp, beat Vivid Photo on 7/14, has major early speed gets switch to Brennan and chance to trip out (4) ELEGANT MAN watch list horse for 27.2 close in fast last quarter endured tough trip getting buried on the inside   (10) VIVID PHOTO sharp pocket trip to just miss the BC another watch list horse for 27.2 close, expect Roger to leave hard

Race Eleven:  US PACING CHAMPIONSHIP FFA (D)
(1) LEADING X AMPLE simply had too much ground to make up in the stretch, post #1 may prove tricky though (6) HOLBORN HANOVER returning to old form under Robinson care, big effort in the BC (5) STONEBRIDE REGAL another with tough trip in the BC, may choose to utilize his early speed

Race Twelve:  $75,000-110,000 CLHC
(10) ATTORNEY GENERAL fastest NZ bred of all time goes for 4 in a row and will be tough to deny even from post #10 for hot Banca barn (5) ALLSTAR BLUE JEAN good closing 2nd’s last two, usually hard to endorse without seeing on the track (7) MULCAY N good uncovered attempt, debuts for Silva off the claim and may get ideal closing trip (3) THE CHOSEN ONE steps up in career form for hot Kesmodel barn, leaves looking for pocket trip

Race Thirteen:  OLIVER WENDELL HOLMES (D)
(5) ARTISTIC FELLA is simply the best 3YO pacer racing (4) PERFECT UNION will flash his speed but 2nd best here (7) FEELIN FRISKE returns after qualifier after 1 month rest, closer hurt by short field

Race Fourteen:   OLIVER WENDELL HOLMES (D)
(4) ARMBRO DEUCE Brennan’s choice over #2, debuts on lasix 3 weeks after sharp close in the M-Pace (8) TOOK HANOVER swept three wide from the back closing in brisk 26.0 in good prep for this (6) SHARK GESTURE didn’t fire last week with traffic issues, but should see improved effort, Sears’ choice (7) WESTERN GUY should be looking to leave

Race Fifteen:  nw 27,500 for those still around ….
(3) TATTOO HALL for those in need of a longshot, steps up off life mark for hot Kroninger barn (7) TENANT IN CHIEF drops and expect Gingras to fire him out (1) DRIVEN TO WIN maybe looking to brush early from post #1 (5) FRANCAM another who drops but some troubled trips with Morgan...
