Race One: $40,000 Claiming Pace

(5) WESTERN MONSOON winless Rucker horse offered good late pace 4th over in 27.0 off poor cover. (4) ROSANALI N needed last after a month off and closed decently. (3) DITCHEMS BROTHER steps up off sharp bias busting speed effort for hot Ford barn. (6) LEONS GAMBIT drops back into claimers after tiring in the pocket as the beaten favorite, gets Berry back and dangerous with field devoid of a lot of early speed.

Race Two: $75,000-$100,000 Claiming Handicap Pace

(8) CUNNING LIAR is sharp and hard to go against as he changes hands off the Ford claim, keep Sears and goes for four straight but will probably offer little betting value. (6) KING TUTPANKHAMEN went uncovered in fast middle half.  (5) MOTOR CITY SMITTY lands himself in the Lare barn and is a watch list horse for game speed effort in fast pace losing to the pocket sitting Arts Cam, can get lucky with a pocket trip. (3) LANDMARK HALL crushed lesser but may be ready for another roll back for Silva.

Race Three: $10,000 Claiming 4&5-year-olds

(9) THREE QUARTER CAM found the Open a bit too tough, should find these more to his liking. (1) TOO MUCH GUN went gamely uncovered from post #1 but same trip may be in order. (5) O NARUTAC PAT racing well of the short layoff, Saunders raises him after flashing early speed and some good late pace after a shuffle. (7) PRINCE VINCE off poorly in the Exit 16w final but closed well in 54.3 and can charge by these late.

Race Four: $30,000-$35,000 Claiming Handicap Pace

(1) PAIR OF CARDS Millers’ choice drops after loosing cover pacing fast 55.0 middle half in fast race.  (9) CAMBERT hot commodity in the claiming box was used hard from post #9 as the favorite. (3) ALIKEIT has had some issues negotiating the turns but offered some good pace after a shuffle off the scratch sick, should be able to gun for the lead from this spot. (6) SEA MAN gets a little break in the draw and is a late closing threat a huge odds.

Race Five: 4-year-old OPEN

(4) LIVE OUT LOUD has turned out to be a pleasant surprise for Lachance, goes for 4 straight and is one handy horse and sure to get heavily bet this week. (1) DRIVEN TO WIN is on the improve closing well in 26.4 and just may be on the move early. (2) JK ROYAL Flush had good late pace from tough spot and may be set up for ideal cover trip. (7) BRANDONS COWBOY with a lot less on the line he just may be able to steal one on the front end.

Race Six: Non-winners of $10,000
(5) TOWN CHAMPION a watch list horse for being parked past fast half pacing 26.2 2nd quarter in the Aquarius Final.  (6) MATA HARRY another watch list horse for going uncovered in fast last half pacing in 54.4.  (3) SIX OF DIAMONDS drops off poor effort perhaps for softer soft like tonight.   (4) JUGULAR Miller stays and should be more involved in second start off the layoff.

Race Seven: Non-winner of $15,500

(6) ART’S ADVANTAGE Oakes spots well again after game pressured effort from post #1.   (5) HOP SING a watch list horse for going uncovered in fast last half first start lasix. (4) MIRACLE MAN N sharp 27.1 close after box in fast last half in well backed first US start.   (7) BACK OFF drops after even effort pacing 26.3 final quarter against Arts Cam, look for Dube to fire out.

Race Eight: $40,000 Claiming Pace

(4) ROOM AND BOARD is double jumped in class after ultra game pressured mile.  (8) U CEE ALAY N gets Campbell after perfect trip in third start for Remmen. (6) AQUAGOLD A Pierce’s choice staying loyal to Daley went lifetime best in big mile, horse with some obvious talent but major physical problems may be a risky bet to repeat same performance. (7) BIG KYLE STYLE will now pace for Pelling and tough trips continue maybe move outside will set up decent cover trip.

Race Nine: $100,000 Claiming 4&5-year-old

(3) MT VERNON HANOVER was one of our big plays last week (that finished 2nd !) flew home in 26.4 and finally gets some post relief. (7) NIGHTMAREONELM hard to fault with 27.0 close 4th over. (10) THE REAL DION good second to the tough Arts Cam closing in 26.3, will have to leave though. (4) ARMBRO BECALM tries the high priced restricted claimers after no chance trip off slow half from post #10 in the Sr. Trendsetter final.

Race Ten: OPEN

(5) SAGEBRUSH another of our big plays in the Open last week, we will stay with him (odds permitting) after super sharp 25.3 close in fast last half.  (1) STREET SIGN paced fast 1:21.1 last three quarters in fast race and can stay close from the rail.  (4) LIFE SOURCE returns after folding in the Invitational but should be set up for the trip he desires behind Arts Cam. (8) ARTS CAM has been well spotted by Oakes and now faces his toughest test, clearly will attempt to take these down the road but the way the closing bias has been.

Race Eleven: $40,000 Claiming

(1) NATIONAL ARTCHIVE exploded in 26.4 after the shuffle and will look to brush and crush in 2nd start for Croghan.  (2) ATLANTIC SUNSET A drops after disappointing effort, may chose to leave this week. (4) YOUMUSTBEKIDDING Brennan’s choice double jumps for Johnson off sharp score from post #9 on ship-in to his favorite track.

Race 12: $30,000-$35,000 Claiming Handicap Pace

(5) TYPHOID used hard from post #9 in fast quarter and half, gets services of Sears after Burke claim and major threat with any sort of rating.  (3) GINNY’S FIVE SIX drops back after getting shuffled past the quarter, should be well spotted behind Typhoid.  (2) BEST OF SHOW raised in class for good claiming barn after closing sharply in 27.0.  (9) HOTINDIANANITE drops after not being involved from post #10, lots of speed inside however and Cat may have to race this one off the pace.

Race 13: Non-winners of  $7,500

(5) FLIGHT SIGN drops after being a non-factor in the Exit 16w series. (4) BOOTILICIOUS finally receives major post relief and should wake up in this spot after no-chance miles. (9) WHERE EAGLES DARE Campbell stays after finding it hard to close in fast last half in US debut, may be overbet however with poor post position.  (6) THE MIGHTY PO PO Sears stays and class drop after getting a month rest, buried on the rail in last and is due for a major wake-up call with addition of lasix.

A Note from Tony....We had a couple of inquiries on how we did last week in the Handicapping Challenge…it was one of those frustrating nights as we naturally, looked for betting value and our major plays all came in 2nd. We managed to do well overall with our own money by boxing exacta’s and hitting a couple straight $10 trifecta’s..our plays in the tournament were:

Race

1 – O Narutac Pat (2nd)

2 - Mt Vernon Hanover (2nd)

3 - Shattered Halo (2nd)

5 - Live Out Loud (won)

6 – Marinos Boy (4th)

7 – Jennas Choice (won)

8 – Whispers Spy (2nd)

9 – Festivus (2nd)

10 – Sagebrush (heavy play) (2nd)

12 – National Artchive (2nd)
