Analysis & Selections by:
Grey Stable Tony

Race One: $50,000-$60,000 Claiming Handicap
(8) OLIVER CUSTIS debuts for the red hot combo of Daley/Pierce, weakened late on a bad night for speed. (4) ARTS ADVANTAGE Miller’s choice over the #3 raced well third over closing in a sharp 26.3 and doesn’t have to worry about Macy The Farmer late. (3) FRANCO SEQUEL N unusual to see Miller bail on an Oakes trained horse but he has remained sharp since the claim and should be sitting a good trip. (10) ROMMEL we know he was boxed in last week so that means he will probably be overbet in this spot.

Race Two: Non-winners of three races lifetime, Five-Year-olds & Under
(4) MR TRENTONIAN
paced last half in 55.4 first start off the layoff and should improve. (1) WESTERN IMAGE faded after being over used, barn switch to Fusco but may be overbet since he will probably be on an early brush. (7) ARMBRO BEN definitely on the improve with the addition of lasix, can forgive with tough trip from post #9.

Race Three: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(2) FUTURE FALCON N
Miller’s choice over the #5 returns to the level of his claim but has looked super in last two at Yonkers. (5) FOUR STARZZZ JL has really gotten his act together at Freehold, back up the claiming ladder after huge mile on New Years Day followed by even effort in the slop. (7) IMAGE OF JATE claimed by Hartline off of easy win in fast pace but barn has never had a lot of success here, sharp horse but likely overbet. (4) WRIST ROCKET versatile horse has fast speed badge taken at Balmoral last year.

Race Four: $30,000 Claiming Pace
(2) JACCKA SEELSTER N
improvement noted on horse that paced a 54.3 middle half in last, previous showed speed form post #9. (3) DOMINATION flashed some early speed in third start off the layoff but it has been almost a month since then. (8) LEADING CHOICE N showed some improvement in fourth start off the layoff pacing last half in 54.1 but found it hard to make up ground coming off a slow half. (10) HARRY BREATH HARRY drops slightly and gets out of detention barn after deceptively good effort and retains the new king of the #10 hole, John Campbell.

Race Five: PRESIDENTIAL – 1st Leg FFA (D)
(2) HARDER ENTRY - EATON ROAD KILL
has had the necessary tighteners and was parked past fast 26.4 first quarter and is probably set up for strong closing effort, LUCKYISASLUCKYDOES should be tighter in 2nd start. (4) LIFE SOURCE went a huge 2 move effort in prep for this and no doubt firing looking for his trip. (5) SAGEBRUSH closed well in 26.2 in first start back and retains Pierce.

Race Six: Non-winner of $15,000 Lifetime
(4) COASTOCOAST YANKEE
returns after his tour of the Midwest, sharp qualifier on the off track and should offer some decent value. (2) OHUBETTERBELIEVEIT another sharp Banca trained horse is Morrill’s choice over the #10, returns to face older foes. (10) ORAGAMI ARTIST draws post #10 again but building confidence as he bumps up the conditioned ladder and old pilot Sears returns. (1) NVNINCBL ARTIST we know of his 0-for win record here last year but he is usually around for a piece at the finish.

Race Seven: Non-winners of $25,000 Lifetime
(1) PATCH ADAMS N
since drawing the rail again likely to see same early brush, good effort on a bad night for speed losing to the pocket sitting Coldheartedrevenge. (9) JOHNNY BE COOL N tough trip in BigM debut, off poorly then having to go 4th over with bad cover, managed to pace in 53.4 final half, Holland is going to have to get early position. (5) CANYON WIND drops after not being involved in the Open, put forth game win against similar on 12/18 and gets Campbell. (4) ALLSTAR BLUE JEAN Brennan’s choice of over the #5 and #10, should be on the move looking for another trip.

Race Eight: $75,000-$100,000 Claiming Handicap
3) MACIE THE FARMER
has been like racing on the half miler for him having to overcome post position disadvantage, super sharp and finally takes the logical step up and rewarded with post relief, lots of early speed in the race and should get ideal cover trip. (2) TWIN B GAMBIT closed well in debut for Odds On Racing on 12/18, raced uncovered at Yonkers to keep tight. (6) GENE CARTER gets away from tough post #1 getting parked in super effort in first start for Lachance barn. (5) LCB one of our big plays last week should be out firing for that dynamic duo.

Race Nine: Non-winners of $10,000 Lifetime
(2) THE REAL DION
showed some good late pace closing in 27.0 from post #9, post relief and the hot Pierce against lackluster field. (3) MATT HERSHEY 0 for 19 here last year but good spot for his return and the Ford barn starting to warm up. (7) CAMS PRIMETIME Campbell chose to stay over the #9, has not looked like the typical Daley trainee but can wake up on the class drop and 2nd start lasix.

Race Ten: $50,000 Claiming Pace
(6) LIBERAL ARTS
game mile roughing it outside from post #9 and closing well in 27.2. (1) IRON LEGEND beaten favorite gets the rail and return of Sears in 2nd start at this level, anticipating early move. (3) WESTERN HOT SHOT Miller’s choice has had time to rest after tiring after brush when haltered by Oakes and coming off a scratch sick.
(10) ASAMATTEROFFACT
flattened after 3 wide move in fast pace, gets Pierce and could menace if he can get him into the race early.

Race Eleven: $30,000 Claiming Pace
(9) U CEE ALAY N
was Grey Stable Chris’ big play last Friday and responded with game front end effort pressured in fast last half. (1) IMTHATKINDACAM third start off the Harder claim putting forth good effort dueling in fast pace, should benefit from his early speed. (2) HOTINDIANANITE another sharp Rucker shipper steps up again after showing a new wrinkle by taking them down the road from post #1 at Maywood. (5) HIGHLAND PRIDE A Campbell’s choice over the #3 and #9 was the beaten favorite after getting away poorly in first start for Robin Schadt.

Race Twelve: $40,000 Claiming Pace
(1) KING COLE
super bias busting effort from post #10. (6) ARTS CAM another sharp Oakes horse, put in huge effort racing wide early from post #10 in fast pace. (7) REGENT HALL could be returning to form after scratch sick as Sears changed racing strategy by racing off the pace, outside the mile with nice 27.2 close. (5) WALKINSHAW steps up after showing sharp pace on both ends of the mile.

Race Thirteen: Non-winners of three races lifetime, Five-year-olds & Under
(5) DRIVING MACHINE game closing effort from the rare Doherty trained pacer. (6) AMERICAN FURY has come out firing since his short rest, steps up after besting weaker. (4) DREAM CAME TRUE drops after making up a lot of ground off the broke, major player if flat. (9) JENNAS CHOICE beaten favorite lost stretch battle to #5, should be out firing again.

Race Fourteen: Non-winners of $10,000
(1) DAISY’S BOY
the last foal from the great Shady Daisy is one of our sentimental favorites but is a carry-over watch list horse for sharp 26.3 close in fast last quarter on 12/18 and Brian Sears of course, looking for him to brush early. (2) THE GLOBE now or never spot, paced his last three quarters in 1:22.1 against substantially better but will probably take a whole lot of tote action. (8) ALTERT MOTORING N came home in brisk 27 off of dull cover. (4) EXTENDER N offered some good late pace along the pylons in faster last half in first start off the layoff.
