The Tender Loving Care Series for 3-year-old fillies resumed with a pair of upsets Thursday night at Meadowlands Racetrack.
Angel From Above rallied to win the first of the $12,500 splits in 1:56.1. The 22-1 shot scored her second career win in rein to Ron Pierce. Angel From Above paid $47.80 to win the first race of the night. Johnny Waite of Camden, DE trains and owns the daughter of Bettor's Delight-Jett Away.
Fox Valley Dazzle saved all the ground and unleashed a :26.2 final quarter to take the second division over The Assassinator in 1:55.3. Driven by Andy Miller and trained by Erv, Fox Valley Dazzle returned $13.20. The daughter of Richess Hanover-Duncan's Sister is now perfect in two career starts for co-owners Hannah Miller and Tony Alagna.
Delayed a week by inclement weather, the $61,000 Tender Loving Care Final is set for Friday, February 26.
