Bono Bests Wins Suslow Series Leg

Bono Bests held off Pandrogynous for a three-quarter length victory in the second race, the $22,500 Suslow Series on Friday night at the Meadowlands. Bono Bests, driven by David Miller, paced the mile in 1:53.1. on a course rated sloppy by showers. There were only five starters and no show wagering was offered. Bono Bests improved his record to seven wins, one second and two thirds from 11 starts this year. The Randy Beekman trainee now has 11 wins in 17 career outings. The victory pushed the colt’s career earnings over the $100,000 mark for Ivan Sugg and Blue Chip Partners. The $72,700 final of the three-week Suslow Series is on April 21.
