Artistic Fella Wins Suslow Final

Artistic Fella snuck up the inside to nab a 1:51 victory in the $72,700 Robert J Suslow Final Friday night at The Meadowlands. The win was the sixth Suslow Final win for driver Ron Pierce. Artistic Fella is a three-year-old son of Pacific Fella who earned $52,250 by winning three of four starts at two. He is trained by Steve Elliott for owner Joseph Alborano of New Egypt, New Jersey.

"This horse got a real good tightener in his last start," winning driver Ron Pierce said. "Steve (trainer Elliott) had this horse real tight and ready to win tonight."

Artistic Fella, a three-year-old son of Pacific Fella–-Everything’s Easy, was a $13,000 yearling purchase at the New Jersey Classic Sale by Joseph Alborano of New Egypt, New Jersey. He has now earned $91,235.

“My wife picked him out, and I guess we got lucky,” said Alborano, “He’s in the Berry’s Creek elim next week, the Meadowlands Pace and the New Jersey Sire Stakes.”
