Enough Talk Speaks Up in Su Mac Lad

April 19, 2008

Apparently, Enough Talk still had more to say. The trotter followed up his world record performance at Dover with another impressive victory in the $50,000 opener of the Su Mac Lad Series Friday night at the Meadowlands.

George Brennan hustled Enough Talk off the gate and yielded to American Lane and Cat Manzi around the opening turn. Brennan and his charge quickly retook the lead and rebuffed Green Day's challenge at the head of the stretch. Enough Talk held off a late bid by Swan Image for a ?-length tally in 1:52.2.

Enough Talk lowered the world record for an older trotting gelding on a 5/8-mile track in his start prior, the $85,000 Classic Series at Dover. The son of Enjoy Lavec has won 20 of 43 career starts and $361,466. Peter Kleinhans owns and trains Enough Talk.

The Su Mac Lad continues with a $50,000 second leg on April 25 and concludes with a $100,000 final on May 2.
