Restive Hanover Wins Cape & Cutter Leg

Restive Hanover drew off to a length and a quarter victory in the $35,000 opening leg of the Cape & Cutter Series Friday night at the Meadowlands. It was the third straight victory, and fourth in five starts this season, for Restive Hanover. Driven by Eric Ledford and trained by Erv Miller, Restive Hanover paced the mile in 1:51.4, her best clocking in 2006. Miss Galvinator finished second, while Burning Point was third.
A daughter of The Panderosa, Restive Hanover has banked just under $850,000 lifetime for the Starmaker Farm of Cynthiana, Kentucky. She was named the Dan Patch Award winner as the top two-year-old filly of 2004. The Cape & Cutter Series continues with a second leg on February 17 and concludes with an $88,610 final on February 24.
