Restive Hanover Preps for Cape & Cutter

February 3, 2006

Restive Hanover benefited from a second-over trip and drew off to a length and three-quarter victory in a $35,000 winners-over condition pace for mares, the featured race on Friday night at the Meadowlands. Restive Hanover put away Stonebridge Kisses in second and Burning Point in third, in 1:52.4.

It was Restive Hanover’s third win in four starts this year and served as a perfect prep for the February 10 opening round of the three-week Cape & Cutter Series at the Meadowlands. The final on February 24 carries a purse of $88,610. The Dan Patch Award winner as the top two-year-old filly of 2004, the daughter of The Panderosa has banked more than $820,000 lifetime for the Starmaker Farm of Cynthiana, Kentucky. She is trained by Erv Miller.
