Upsetter Prevails in Prix de Belgique

28-1 longshot Keed Tivoli, driven by Maxine Bezier, took the Prix de Belgique at l’Hippodrome Vincennes on Sunday. This race is consider to be the final test for the 2006 Prix d’Amerique. Keed Tivoli won by two lengths, followed by Triton Sund in second, with Kazire de Guez third.
Kazire de Guez remains the favorite for the Prix d'Amerique, set for January 29 over the same Parisian racecourse. Keed Tivoli is normally campaigned in lower classes, and spend most of his time in the breeding shed, where he receives the modest fee of $1,500.
