Jag de Bellouet Takes Prix D'Amerique

Jag de Bellouet captured the $1.2 million Prix D'Amerique today at Paris' Vincennes Racecourse in 1:56.3. It was the second consecutive year that the nine-year-old French champion had captured Europe's most prestigious trotting event. The net to the winner was $600,000. Christophe Gallier piloted Jag de Bellouet against 17 rivals. Gigant Neo was second, with Jardy third. Jag de Bellouet became the first horse since Bellino II in 1975-1976, who has won both of France's top event the Prix de Cornulier, monte race and the Prix d’Amerique.
