Panaramic Art Wins Clyde Hirt Final

January 26, 2008

Panaramic Art kept his win streak alive, claiming his 18th consecutive victory in the $83,700 Clyde Hirt Final on Saturday night at the Meadowlands.

Panaramic Art, with driver George Brennan in the sulky, took control of the lead
around the backside and paced home to win by two lengths in 1:51.2. Artstreos
finished second and it was three lengths back to Captain Cambest in third.

The Iowa-bred gelding's streak began July 15, 2007 and has taken him from the
small fair tracks of the mid-west to the bright lights of the Meadowlands

“He is just so versatile,” Brennan said from the winner’s circle. “Last week I
raced him on the front end, today I took him back and kind of let the speed
settle. John [Campbell] moved, I followed him to the lead and he knows how to
get it done. It’s a great quality for any good race horse and he’s got them all.
I’m not even sure if it did or not but he’s a really good race horse, he’s
versatile, and he can do it either way. He was tiring it was a good half, good
three quarter. Artstreos, he doesn’t know an end of a mile, he doesn’t know
it’s coming. My horse just got it done and he knows how to do it.”

“George [Brennan] gave him a beautiful drive,” trainer Al Meyer said. “Last
week, he wasn’t as good. George at 1-2 odds gave him a perfect trip. He got drug
up to the half he was a little tired at the end but he was able to win by a few.
He’ll have a week off then he’ll go into the 16W.”

The son of Hot Pans was a $60,000 private purchase Oct. 5, 2007 by the Squawk
Box Stable of Monroe Township, NJ and Deborah Adwokat [Keep The Dream Going
Inc.] of Scarsdale, NY. Panaramic Art has won 30 of 36 career starts and
$183,843.

Driver George Brennan captured his second stake final of the night with Hard To
Beat [$8.80, $4.20, $3.20] in the $75,000 Complex final.

Hard To Beat moved to the lead around the backstretch and held off a late
challenge from Race Track Ruler [$2.80, $2.40] to win by a neck in 1:51.2. It
was three and a half lengths back to Tiber Hanover [$3.20] in third.

Trained by Ross Croghan, Hard To Beat posted his second win in his fourth start
of the year for owners the Robert Cooper Stable of Boca Raton, Florida, the Let
It Ride Stables of Delray Beach, Florid and Mitchell Rosenthal of Dallas, Texas.
