Presidential Ball Returns to Canada
December 10, 2006
Presidential Ball, now 16, is returning to Ontario for the 2007 breeding season. He previously stood at Perretti Farms in New Jersey, from his retirement until 2000. In 2001, he stood at Port Perry, Ont.'s Tara Hills Stud, and in 2005 moved to Cool Winds Farm in Ohio. He'll now be housed at Casimir Farm located in Hagar, Ontario.
The son of Cam Fella-I Marilyn closed out his career with a three-length win in 1:54.1 in the Presidential Ball Invitational at Greenwood Raceway in Toronto on Dec. 11, 1993.
Presidential Ball retired with 26 wins from 38 starts and $3,021,363 in career earnings, from only two seasons of racing. He won divisional honors at two and three both in Canada and the U.S, and his mark of 1:50 came in the $1-million Meadowlands Pace, in which he defeated Life Sign and Riyadh.
Presidential Ball boasts performers such as Cathedra Dot Com (1:51, $1,632,543) and Allamerican Native (1:49.4, $1,632,543). In total, his starters have won nearly $46-million in purses, averaging $61,915.
