Possess The Magic lowered her mark to 1:54.1 as she picked up her first win of the season in the second of two $35,850 New Jersey Sire Stakes events for 3-year-old trotting fillies Wednesday night at the Meadowlands.

Bred and owned by Brittany Farms, Possess The Magic led all two-year-olds in earnings last season with a bankroll of $699,588. She wrapped up her freshman campaign with a victory over Pampered Princess in the Breeders Crown.

The Ron Gurfein trainee made her 2007 debut in the second leg of the NJSS on June 6 and finished fourth. The $175,000 NJSS Final for three-year-old trotting fillies is Thursday, June 21.
