Racing at Pocono Downs

March 27, 2006

For the first time since 1965, there will be afternoon racing in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Post time at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs will be 2:30 pm, EST and opening day is Saturday, April 1---both admission and parking are free. Live racing will be held Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through June 11. Following June 11, the track will hold a four-day-a-week schedule through November 11. A multi-million dollar renovation project started at Pocono Downs in 2005. The work included a new simulcast facility, which opened March 13, and numerous improvements in the clubhouse.
