Pierce Scores Four Winners at The Big M  Ron Pierce & his mom celebrate in the Big M's winner's circle Cheered on by his own "good luck charm" - his mom - driver Ron Pierce steered four winners on the Saturday night, March 3rd card at the Meadowlands. Pierce, who averaged a $17.20 payout for the night, has been on a hot streak since his mother, Dolores Brower, arrived from Seattle to visit her son. With Saturday's grand slam, the Hall of Famer has won eight races so far this week. He kicked things off by winning the first race with Extender N for trainer Nat Varty, followed by the fourth race with Mickey Burke trainee Canuseemebow. In the featured $35,000 sixth race winners-over, he guided All Over The Place to a 1:50.4 win for Mark Ford and was back in the winner's circle for Burke in the seventh race with PH Top Dog. |
