Hall of Fame driver Ron Pierce was attempting to get to Fraser Downs in British Columbia on Monday to drive in the races there, but his airline not only experienced a lengthy delay, but also lost his colors, which caused Pierce to borrow a set, plus a whip & helmet when he finally did arrive at the track, in the middle of the program. He missed the first five races, but got to the track just in time to drive in the eighth race, which he won with Way To Go chief in 1:59.4. Pierce went on to win twice againon the card--with Lo Siento in 1:59.3 and Magic Rain Drop in 2:00.1.
