Pierce Notches Career Victory 6,000

Ron Pierce notched career win 6,000 at the Meadowlands in the final race with Punk Man on Wednesday night. The 50-year-old reinsman entered the program needing two wins to reach the mark. He didn't click until race nine when he guided Camsurge to a narrow victory, setting the stage for the dramatic win in race 10. Pierce is having another outstanding season, leading all North American drivers in purse winnings. Lifetime, he has piloted the winners of more than $120 million.
