The first 2008 Harness Racing Youth League camp will be held at Odds On Acres on June 18 to 22. The exhibitions will take place on the final evening at Balmoral Park prior to the regular race card.

Other 2008 locations include: Harrington Raceway – June 29 to July 3; Vernon Downs – July 6 to July 10; The Meadows – July 13 to July 17; Indiana Downs – July 21 to July 25. The Level 2 will be held at The Red Mile August 7 to 10.

The HRYL camp program is designed for 11 to 13-year-olds who would like to learn about harness horses. Activities provide hands-on experience with the traveling stable that includes driving and caring for the horses.

Applications and complete information are available on line. Registration fee is $150 which includes all lodging and meals for the five days and four nights.
