New Track Trotting Record in NJSS

Motivational trotted to a New Jersey Sire Stakes record 1:54 mile to win the last of three $25,000 divisions for three-year-old fillies on Wednesday night at the Meadowlands. Driven by George Brennan and owned by trainer Kathleen LaMontagne of Bordentown, New Jersey, Motivational picked up her second straight New Jersey Sire Stakes victory, finishing a length ahead of Her Culese in the tenth race. Jalopy was third by two and three-quarter lengths. Motivational, a daughter of Muscles Yankee, is a Hambletonian eligible with two wins and a second in three starts this year. She has 10 wins in 15 lifetime outings.
Ticket to Glide accelerated in the final 70 yards to blow past Flawless Bluestone in the seventh race, the second division. Ticket to Glide has now won two straight New Jersey Sire Stakes legs with Cat Manzi driving. The Yankee Glide filly trotted the mile in 1:55.3, finishing a neck in front of Flawless Bluestone. It was a length and three-quarters to Joyful Sakra in third. Ticket to Glide, trained by Brett Pelling, races for Paul Kinnear of Staten Island, New York and Douglas Hutchins of Lyman, Maine.
In the first division, the fifth race, Possessed Bydreams posted a two and a half length victory over Lady Lifter in 1:54.4. Doger Blues was third by three lengths. Possessed Bydreams, a daughter of Self Possessed owned by Mats O. Andersson of Fresno, California, and trained by Jonas Czernyson, was driven to victory by David Miller.
