Theredandpanlines captured the $175,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes for three-year-old pacing colts and geldings, the featured sixth race on Saturday night at the Meadowlands.
Benefiting from a perfect two-hole trip behind even-money favorite Jo Pa's Shark, Theredandpanlines took the lead in the stretch and drew off to a three-length victory over John Adams in 1:50.2. It was three and a quarter lengths back to All Over The Place in third.

"I looked at the race this afternoon and decided to leave hard," said winning driver Brian Sears. "I almost talked myself out of it, but I'm glad I didn't. I knew it was going to be a sprint from the half in 56 . I wasn't eager to pull the two-hole but when I did, my horse paced right by him [Jo Pa's Shark]."

Jo Pa's Shark, second in the SBOA/ New Jersey Classic and the winner of his previous two starts, faded to sixth.

"He had a good trip," said Jim Campbell, the trainer of Jo Pa's Shark. "He just came up empty down the stretch. I'll have to investigate to see if anything is wrong with him. I will pull some blood and scope him and go from there."

Bob Glazer's Peter Pan Stables of Pepper Pike, Ohio, owns the homebred, Theredandpanlines. The son of Artsplace, trained by Mark Silva, now has four wins, a second and two thirds in 11 starts this year. His career bankroll is $137,674.
