Miller Brothers Heat Things up at The Big M

The brother team of driver Andy and trainer Erv Miller was hot Thursday night at The Meadowlands as the returned with their top pacing mare Vysoke Tatry, who swept the three-week Snow Angel Series in December. On Thursday night the four-year-old daughter of Dragon's Lair paced to a 1:53.2 winning mile in the first of three $12,500 divisions of the White Ruffles Series. Vysoke Tatry extended her winning streak to four with a two and a quarter length victory over Sheeza Shady Lady and Pure Instinct in third.

Unraced at two, Vysoke Tatry is owned and bred by the Andray Farm of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. Lifetime she has eight wins and one second in 11 starts and $56,855.

In the other White Ruffles elims, Ma Ma May I rallied for a three-quarter length victory over Ideal Dex in 1:54.1, while Passing Lane Penny coasted by six and a half-lengths over You’re Welcome in 1:53.1. The three-week White Ruffles Series continues next week, with the top 10 earners in the series advancing to the $48,000 final on January 26.
