Snow White fairest of them All

Snow White crowned herself the overwhelming favorite heading into the $458,550 Merrie Annabelle with a victory in her elimination race on Thursday night at the Meadowlands.

With John Campbell in the sulky, Snow White rolled to her fifth straight victory in 1:56.4, in the first of the evening's two elimination races. The undefeated filly tops the contenders for the Merrie Annabelle Final to be raced next Thursday, August 2. Marinated Herring, the longest shot in the field at 105-1, was second and Muscovite third.

The daughter of Self Possessed-Mom's Millionaire was a $43,000 yearling purchase at the 2006 Lexington Selected Sale. In the other Merrie Annabelle elimination, Pinery posted a neck victory over Winbak Brat by a neck in 1:58. Timeless Winner completed the trifecta.

Also advancing to the Merrie Annabelle Final were Midnight Lace, Satin Pillows, Ina Tilly and Must Be Hot.

Two elimination races for the $441,750 Sweetheart were also contested on Thursday night. Wall Of Art and Worldly Treasure each captured her elimination race in 1:53.2. Also advancing to the Sweetheart Final on Friday, August 3 were: Sunshine Sister, Knock Three Times, See And Be Seen, Michelle's Prayer, Loving Caroline, McArts N Crafts, Cartniverous and Cuzzin Sally.
