Saturday night at Bamoral in the $35,000 American National
Elimination for aged trotters.

August 19, 2006

Adam Victor and Son Stables L of New York, New York saw their Med Vac score a minor upset by capturing the $35,000 American National elimination in 1:53.1 with driver Sam Widger at the lines Saturday night at Balmoral Park. The son of CR Commando--the former Breeders Crown winner--is conditioned by Darby Miller. Med Vac picked up his fifth victory in 11 tries this season, pushing his seasonal searnings to $71,250 and his career earnings to just over $420,000.

Heavy favorite and last year's Hambletonian winner Vivid Photo did not race up to his usual self, and finished a disappointing seventh among the field of eight older trotters. Dink Adoo (Ryan Anderson) was second, while Justic Hall (Jason Dillander) finished third. War Paint and Lawman were scratched, therefore all eight of the finishers in the elimination advance to the $200,000 American National Final for aged trotters on August 26 at the Crete oval.
