Timesareachanging Early Favorite for $1 Million Meadowlands Pace
July 14, 2004
By Kimberly A. Rinker

After winning his Pace elimination in 1:48.4, Timesareachanging has been assigned as the 5-2 morning line favorite in the $1 million Meadowlands Pace, set for Saturday night, July 17 at the Big M in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The Pace has been slated as the eighth race on the card, with a scheduled post of 10:11 p.m., EST.

In his elim, Timesareachanging equaled the world and track standards for three-year-old pacing geldings set in 2000 by Life Source at the Big M, and was the fastest ever in a Meadowlands Pace elimination or final. The gelding has only raced at the Big M in seven starts this season, winning two New Jersey Sires Stakes events and finishing third in the $150,000 final on June 19.

Brett Pelling trains the youngster and is a veteran Pace winner, having captured the classic with David's Pass (1995), Dream Away (1997) and The Panderosa (1999). Timesareachanging is owned by the Perfect World Enterprises of Old Westbury, New York and will be joined in the Meadowlands Pace by his stablemate Geartogear. The complete field is below:
