Updated on July 6 Last Week's Ranking/Early Line/Horse/Trainer/Owner/The Scoop 1, 2-1, ROCKNROLL HANOVER, Brett Pelling, Jeff Snyder and Lothlorien Equest., "He continues to become more professional all the time," said Pelling. "I always have a concern about a horse who is valued as much as he is. He was assigned to a breeding farm last week, so that's a weight off the owners' shoulders, but the pressure is still on me." Had week off before elims.
2, 5-2, STONEBRIDGE REGAL, Bob McIntosh, R Kaufman, Angie Stiller, R McIntosh, W Springtime, "He came out his qualifier [1:50.3] good and fresh, and I was real happy with that," said McIntosh. He'll just go a couple of slow trips this week and he's ready."
3, 4-1, RUNOVER FEELING, Kelly O'Donnell, Jack Tramonte and Ed Mullinax, "I trained him here on the half mile track at the farm last Friday in 2:05, last half in a minute," O'Donnell said. "I also sent P Forty Seven. I'll train both of them on Thursday a little bit. They'll be stabled at the track."
4, 6-1, VILLAGE JOLT, Brett Pelling, Jeff Snyder, Arlene & Jules Siegel, "He seems surprisingly healthy and his respiratory system seems perfect," said Pelling. "We've run plenty of tests and everything seems to be fine. It's tough for him to be sharp because he hasn't had the hobbles on once since his North America Cup elimination. I wish we had a few more weeks, but you only get one shot at the Pace. "
9, 8-1, AMERICAN IDEAL, Casie Coleman, Mac Nichol, St Albert AB, Brittany, Won 3rd race condition pace on July 2 at the Meadowlands. "He raced great and came out of it strong," said Coleman. "I was very happy with him. He got over the track well and it was a lifetime best."
5, 10-1, DAWN OFA NEW DAY, Chris Ryder, T Gewertz, Norm & Gerald Smiley, "He trains on Wednesday, and we're looking forward to the Pace eliminations," noted Ryder.
6, 10-1, CAM'S FOOL, Brett Pelling, Jeff Snyder and Lothlorien Equest., "He's absolutely push-button perfect," said Pelling. "I never worry about him. He just gives me the impression that he's the type that will race in the Progress in December."
7, 12-1, LOAD THE DICE, Chris Ryder, Brittany Farms & Daisy Acres, "He's feeling better," said Ryder. "We'll train him on Wednesday along with Dawn Ofa New Day, and we hope he'll do well in his Pace elimination."
8, 15-1, LEADING X AMPLE, Bill Elliott, Leading X Ample Stable, "I trained him real good here at the farm [in Hagersville, ON] in 2:00 and change, which is real good here in a jog cart," said Elliott. "I shipped him to Crevani Farms in Bullville, NY."
10, 15-1, SYNCRO'S Z TAM, Patrick Lachance, MJGB Racing Stb & Pat Lachance, 9th in 3rd race July 2. "Patrick said he was very happy with him because he was locked in from gate to finish," said Bill Matz. "He didn't get a chance to pace out. 2, 5-2, STONEBRIDGE REGAL, Bob McIntosh, R Kaufman, Angie Stiller, R McIntosh, W Springtime, "He's doing really good," said McIntosh. "Ideally I was hoping to get a race in him at the Meadowlands before the eliminations. If not I'll qualify him down there on Friday."
3, 4-1, RUNOVER FEELING, Kelly O'Donnell, Jack Tramonte and Ed Mullinax, "I don't think I'm going to race him this weekend, just train him up a little bit," said O'Donnell. "I'll probably ship him in next Wednesday."
4, 6-1, VILLAGE JOLT, Brett Pelling, Jeff Snyder, Arlene & Jules Siegel, Trainer switch to Brett Pelling. "He seems really good," Pelling said. "I wasn't around him before, so it's a little hard to say. I've put him through some light training, and I think that's the way I'm going with him."

5, 10-1, CAM'S FOOL, Brett Pelling, Jeff Snyder and Lothlorien Equest., "He does even less training than Rocknroll Hanover, and this little guy also doesn't need to race or qualify before the Pace eliminations," noted Pelling.
6, 10-1, LOAD THE DICE, Chris Ryder, Brittany Farms & Daisy Acres, 8th in NJSS Final. "Obviously, it wasn't a good race, but he came up sick, and he'll definitely have the week off," said Ryder. "This guy has always been pretty genuine, and Dawn Ofa New Day is more of a speed type."
7, 12-1, LEADING X AMPLE, Bill Elliott, Leading X Ample Stable, Another week off. "He's doing fine, no problems at all," said Bill Elliott. "I think I'm going to keep him here at the farm and train him real good, then ship him down next week."

NOT RANKED, 8-1, LOAD THE DICE, Chris Ryder, Brittany Farms & Daisy Acres, "He's no surprise, he's always been a good one, but I don't know who's better now, him or Dawn Ofa New Day [1:50.3 NJSS winner on June 4]," said Ryder.

8, 15-1, CAM'S FOOL, Brett Pelling, Jeff Snyder and Lothlorien Equest., "He's a small horse going first over at high speed on a sticky track, so he had an excuse [finishing fifth in NJ Classic]," said Pelling. "He raced huge and has shown that he can race with those horses." NA Cup elims next.
10, 20-1, RUNOVER FEELING, Kelly O'Donnell, Jack Tramonte and Ed Mullinax, "I qualified him at the Meadows last Friday in 1:53.1, last quarter in 27.1, so we'll give him a shot in the Burlington," said O'Donnell. "He'll be first time Lasix."

7, 12-1, TEAM HUTCH, Homer Hochstetler, Joy & Bonnie Hutchison, 3 wins in 2005. "He was very, very sharp and won [Cardinal elim at Balmoral] easily," said Hochstetler. The only problem we have with him is he's attached to his groom [who] can't leave him in the paddock. He goes ballistic."
8, 15-1, CAM'S FOOL, Brett Pelling, Jeff Snyder and Lothlorien Equest., 3rd in NJ Classic elim. "You're talking about green horses racing over a surface that certainly looks different to them," said Pelling of the sloppy track. 9, 15-1, SHANGHAI PHIL, Dustin Jones, Chemvest Holding, Hudson Stb., Dustin Jones Stb., 5th at Woodbine. "He was a little grabby leaving out of there, put in a couple of steps in the final turn, so I took in his hobbles up one hole," Jones said.
