Matina Hanover is best known as the dam of world champion Mack Lobell, but as history shows, she also produced a number of fine trotters.

Mack Lobell was her seventh foal who sold for $17,000 as a yearling and went on to score a mark of 1:52.1, becoming one of the best trotters the sport has ever seen.

Bred to Noble Victory, Matina Hanover first produced RH Positive, a $21,000 yearling as McClure Lobell; non-starter Mercury Lobell, an $11,000 yearling and the double-gaited Matt Lobell p,5,2:00.4f; T,6,2:02.3f ($12,379) who was a $8,000 yearling.

Matina Lobell was a $45,000 yearling who earned $80,469 and took a record of 3, 2:01. Karissa's Pride was a $10,500 yearling that sold as Milford Lobeel and went on to earn $99,846 and record a six-year-old record of 2:00.1h.

Marilee Lobell sold for $21,000 and was later re-christened BJ's Pleasure 3,1:59.4f ($244,023)--who later became the dam of American Winner, Super Pleasure and BJ's Mac.

Martine Lobell was a $19,000 yearling and unraced filly, while Madjak Cousin 4,Q2:01 was a $200,000 yearling who earned a paltry $1,274. Mack's Sister was exported to Germany, while Margit Lobell 3,Q2;00.2 was a $215,000 yearling who earned $34,771.

Matina Hanover's last American-born foal was Molzon Lobell, who sold for $200,000 as a yearling and was renamed Kate Bi. Matina Hanover was then coupled with Speedy Crown and sold in foal to Sweden's AB Superbus in 1991. She later produced the filly Double Vision, who earned over $120,000 at European venues, winning 15 of 40 starts there.

Matina Hanover's 1992 foal, Evidence won three races and $12,000 in Europe. The great mare produced the unraced filly Glad Tidings, and never got in foal again. Due to health problems, she was humanly put to sleep in 1998.
