Mark MacDonald hits $10 Million Mark in 2006

November 6, 2006

Driver Mark MacDonald became the first driver in Canada this year to hit the $10 million mark in earnings. The 27-year-old now has $10,011,431 banked with almost two full months remaining in the season. He is already well ahead of last season's career-best total of $8.648 million in purse winnings.

MacDonald also looks like a shoe-in to break his own Canadian record of 692 wins in a single-season set just last year - he sits currently with 627. The highlight win this season for the defending O'Brien Award winner was a victory with Mr Feelgood in the Little Brown Jug. Lifetime, MacDonald sits with 3,368 victories and more than $33 million in purses.
