Treasure Blue Chip, age 34, is the grand dame of Blue Chip Farm, and is the human equivalent of about 100 years old. In excellent health, she is never far away from her constant compaions, a pair of miniature donkeys named Bailey and Brodie.

Born in 1975, Treasure was a top racehorse on the Yonkers and Roosevelt Raceway circuit, winning nearly $200,000 in the late 1970s, before starting a motherhood career at her place of birth – Blue Chip Farm in Wallkill, New York.

Treasure Blue Chip lives the life of equine royalty at Blue Chip. She resides in a private paddock adjacent to the home of farm President Mike Kimelman and is cared for by his 13-year-old daughter Olivia.   Owned by Sheila Baird of New York City, Treasure Blue Chip has had a remarkable 14 foals, who have collectively won $2.6 million.

Among her sons are Pershing Square, a winner of more than $800,000, who was a stablemate of the champion Nihilator. An even half-dozen of her progeny have won more than $200,000; in addition to Pershing Square, they are Tibet ($653,680), Baker Field ($305,035), Battery Park ($207,339), Union Square ($203,591) and Piper’s Song ($186,632).
