Favorite Jenna's Choice Out of Big M Saturday Feature

May 3, 2005

The $225,480 Berry's Creek on Saturday night at the Meadowlands has turned into a wide-open affair with the absence of Jenna's Choice.

"Jenna's Choice is out of the Berry's Creek Final," Tammy Silva said on Tuesday morning. "I knew after the race Saturday night [the Berry's Creek Prep, which Jenna's Choice won] that he wasn't right. We had him x-rayed on Sunday, and he has a stress fracture of the pastern, right leg behind. It is not career threatening or anything like that. He most likely won't need surgery. He'll be rested in the stall for 30 days and then turned out. Dr. Balmer told us he'd be back by the end of the year. I'm excited at the prospect of him coming back, healthy and more mature. He is going to be an awesome four-year-old next year."

Four Starz Sisco, who drew post eight in the field of 10 three-year-old pacers, is the 5-2 morning line favorite in the 17th edition of the Berry's Creek, carded as the sixth race. Unraced at two, Four Starz Sisco attracted the spotlight when he won his first four starts this year in impressive fashion. Last Saturday, he suffered his first loss, finishing eighth in the $25,000 Berry's Creek Prep on a rainy night.

"The horse didn't perform well, and he was having trouble grabbing the track. I'm very
disappointed with that race, but that's horse racing. We'll put it behind us and hope for a better outcome in the final," said trainer Dave Sabatelli of Four Starz Sisco's BC prep race.
Four Starz Sisco, a gelded son of The Panderosa - Lizbet Kash, races for the Four Starzzzz Stable of Glenwood, New Jersey and has banked $24,750. He will be the Four Starzzzz Stable's third Berry's Creek finalist. Both Four Starzzz Shark in 2001 and Four Starzzz King in 2004 finished second.
