Jate Lobell, a recent (2004) inductee into the Harness Racing Living Horse Hall of Fame, is one of the finest horses to ever gaze through a bridle.  Bred by Lana Lobell Frams of New Jersey, this indomitable pacer is owned by Kentuckiana Farms of Lexington, Kentucky and I.M. McCluskey of Battle Creek, Michigan.  He was trained and driven throughout his career by Mark O'Mara.

Jate won 30 of 40 career starts and over $2.2 million in career earnings. He has proved to be just as successful in the breeding shed as he was on the racetrack.  In 2002 he was ranked in the top ten of money-winning sires in North America, all-time leading money-wnning sires, leading sires of career $100,000 winners and leading sires of 2:00 performers.
