JK CU Later captured the $85,000 Clyde Hirt STake Final at The Meadowlands Friday night in 1:51 for driver Ron Pierce. The four-year-old Artsplace gelding used similar tactics from his previous start when he mowed down the leading Devilfish (Andy Miller) in the last 80 yards of the one mile test.

Mickey Burke trains JK CU Later fort he THree Brothers Stable of New York, New York. THe win was the gelding's fifth straight victory and completed a three-race sweep of the series. Devilfish held on for second, while Western Shore was third, with Crawdad fourth.

"This wasn't a good trip tonight," Pierce said. "I was sitting three-deep and then four-deep and this horse really dug in and fought hard, he ran down Devilfish in good fashion. He was very powerful tonight. This horse can really scat and he's a great horse to drive--just two fingers. THere's no reason he can't go to the next level of racing."
