Finn Wins Two at The Big M Wednesday

Meadowlands newcomer J.D. Finn sent out three starters and came away with two victories on Wednesday night. The Balmoral Park-based trainer harnessed Buckmaker, who scored a three and three-quarter-length victory in the second race with Ron Pierce in the sulky. Finn is the owner of Buckmaker. Finn then reached the winner’s circle in the third race with PA-High--driven by John Campbell for Mary Lea Jeffers of Flat Rock, Illinois.

The victories for the 48-year-old Finn, from Newton, Illinois, were his first of 2006. His lifetime trainer credits include 439 victories and $2.1 million in purse earnings.
