Wanda Zizzo’s Red Head Tramp had little trouble capturing Wednesday night’s $10,000 Incredible Finale Series Final for state-bred three-year-old pacing fillies, making every pole a winning one with driver Brent Holland. The chestnut filly took the fifth race feature in 2:00.1 on a 12 degree evening at Maywood Park. The pocket horse Amy Towne (Mark Saporito) was second, beaten two and three-quarter by the 7-10 public’s choice. Sara Blue Dot (Andy Miller) was third best, four-plus lengths behind the winner.

“Nobody really got even near to us,” noted Holland. “Sammy’s horse (EZ Fortune) was the closest (one and one-half lengths). Down the backside we got to the three-quarters in 1:30 and I probably could have gotten more of a breather if I wanted it."

Bred and owned by Wanda Zizzo of Argo, Illinois, Red Head Tramp posted 5 wins and 5 seconds in her first 23 season starts, and has collected three victories in two places in her last 5 outings. The daughter of Armbro Mackintosh has earned $28,201 this year.
