This outstanding three-year-old pacing colt has won all five of his 2005 starts, earning nearly $1 million, and is considered the favorite for the $1 million Meadowlands Pace on July 16.
Rocknroll Hanover captured the $1.2 million North America Cup and the $500,000 SBOA New Jersey Pacing Classic this year, and has already been named to stand stud at the end of his sophomore campaign at Perretti Farms in Cream Ridge, New Jersey in 2006.
A $190,000 yearling purchase, Rocknroll Hanover won $530,781 in 2004, becoming the first sub-1:50 two-year-old with a 1:49.4 victory in the Metro Stake at Woodbine. He won three of eight races and was in the money seven times at two.
The colt has increased his career earnings to $1,439,256 with this year's five-for-five winning streak and another 1:49.4 clocking in the North America Cup at Woodbine. Trained by Brett Pelling and driven Brian Sears, Rocknroll Hanover was named Horse of the Month for May and June by the United States Trotting Association.
Rocknroll Hanover will become the ninth stallion to stand at the Central Jersey Perretti Farms, joining: Muscles Yankee, considered the number one trotting stallion in the industry; Windsong's Legacy, the first trotting triple crown winner in 32 years; Artiscape, Dream Vacation, Matt's Scooter, McCardle, Red River Hanover and Revenue.
