Now five-years-old, Boulder Creek has emerged as one of the tougest open pacers performing in North America today. He's the richest-ever Canadian-sired male pacer of all time, and has captured such notable events as the $552,500 Breeders Crown Final (2004) in a lifetime best of 1:48.1 as a four-year-old, and numerous victories on the Ontario Sires Stakes circuit at two and three. He also captured a division of the Champlain Stakes and the Canadian Breeders Championship at three (2003). In addition, Boulder Creek has scored in the Open ranks at The Meadowlands and Hoosier Park, and over nearly every Canadian oval.
2005 has been Boulder Creek's best year ever, as on September 3 he won the $500,000 Breeders Crown Open Pace for the second consecutive season. Earlier he won the $375,000 U.S. Pacing Championship op on August 6 at The Meadowlands, the $250,000 Pacing Classic on July 30 at The Big M, and he finished second by a neck to Life Source in the $225,000 Graduate Final in late May.
Most recently, Boulder Creek won his American National elimination for driver Dale Hiteman on October 29 at Balmoral Park in 1:51.1.
Boulder Creek is the first of five foals out of the Threefold mare Hayser Creek and is her richest to date as well.
