Though he began his racing career modestly, winning just one race at two in his only freshman start, Hop Sing has blossomed into one of the fastest and top conditioned horses in North America in 2006.

With each season this son of the Panderosa has steadily gotten stronger and in 2006 lowered his lifetime best mark to 1:48.3, and during the first four months of the year was the highest money-earner in North America.

Hop Sing narrowly avoided a crash and still set a stakes record in winning the $106,680 Presidential series final at the Meadowlands on January 28, 2006.  He paced the mile in 1:48.3, demolishing the mark of 1:50.2 set by Red Bow Tie in 1999. In that race Hop Sing came charging up the inside to beat the pacesetting Rare Jewel by 1 1/4 lengths.

He won an Isle Of Capri leg in 1:50.2 and then finished second to to He Wants It All in the $159,000 final by a scant neck. He's continually shown he can carry his tremendous speed over all sizes of ovals, and tied his lifetime best mark of 1:48.3 en route to winning the $137,120 Four Leaf Clover final on March 25 at The Meadowlands for driver Ron Pierce.

Hop Sing is the first foal out of the Abercrombie mare Armbro Tussle and is a half-brother to Bono Bests (by Pro Bono Bests), an 11-race winner with $111,115 in earnings to date in 2006, and a three-year-old mark of 1:51.3M.
