Burning Point's stellar career has established her as one of the toughest open mares in North America in 2006. From modest beginnings at the Canadian "B" ovals, she has blossomed into a Breeders Crown winner and year-end divisional winner, and winner of nearly $2 million lifetime.

Her best year came at age three (in 2003) she finished second among all horses in North America with 22 victories, winning the Breeders Crown Sophomore Filly Pace and the $215,764 Matron Stakes in December at Dover. In addition to her 22 trips to the winner’s circle, Burning Point had four seconds and one third in 29 season’s starts. She banked $861,252, making her the richest three-year-old filly in North America in 2003, and the seventh richest Standardbred on the continent. She also walked away with divisional honors that year.

She was trained during her three-year-old season by Linda Wallis and driven by her husband Kevin.

                         Burning Point & Ron Pierce win at The Big M

In 2004 she continued her winning ways, scoring in numerous opens at The Meadowlands, Woodbine and Mohawk.

In 2005 she took the $215,000 Lady Liberty at the Meadowlands. It was the third Lady Liberty victory for Brennan who won the inaugural edition of the free for all for pacing mares in 2000 with French Panicure and set the stakes record of 1:48.4 in 2004 with Loyal Opposition.

"She's always in the race," said Brennan. "She's alwasy got good gate speed and she sits well in a hole."

In late July 2005 Burning Point was the winner of the $250,000 Classic Series Distaff Final for pacing mares at The Meadowlands and just a month later  sped to a 1:494 victory in the $221,275 Golden Girls Free For All at the Big M.
