While Cole Muffler certainly proved himself on the racetrack, earning $682,380 lifetime, it has been in the breeding shed that he's made his mark--becoming one of the top stallions ever to grace the Prairie State of Illinois with his progeny. As well, he's proved that his Illinois-bred get can race outside of the state, with many garnering national and North American attention as a full 82% of his youngsters make it to the races.

Cole Muffler has been the leading Illinois pacing sire in terms of bringing the top yearling prices in 11 of his past 12 seasons, and was the sale topper again in 2008, with his yearlings averaging nearly $65,000 each.

In 2008 Cole Muffler's freshmen performers earned $1,177,367, putting him easily atop the Illinois stallion ranks in money earned. In 2007 Cole Muffler led all Illinois sires with average 2-year-old earnings of $10,086.  He also led all sires in this category in 2006 and 2005. In 2007 and 2006 Cole Muffler also led all Illinois sires in the 3-year-old earning category.

He also sired the top money winning Illinois-bred individuals in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
