Wire to Wire Winner in Horse & Groom
At The Meadowlands on Sunday

March 4, 2007

Likeabatoutahell cruised to a 1:54.3 victory in the first of two $20,000 Horse & Groom Series on Sunday afternoon at the Meadowlands. It was a length back to the pocketsitter Two Weeks Notice while Super Conway closed along the inside for third.

With Andy Miller at the lines, Likeabatoutahell recorded his first win of 2007 in wire-to-wire fashion. The Trond Smedshammer trainee hit the board in nine of 16 starts last season, including a sweep of the Charles Singer Memorial Series at the Meadowlands. He has earned $124,053 for breeder-owner Michael Andrew of Gorham, Maine.

Four Starz Robro benefited from a late miscue by the leader to win the second Horse & Groom division in 1:54.2 for driver Dan Dube and trainer Judith Welty. The $80,000 Horse & Groom Final is next Sunday, March 11.
