Hiteman & Magee to miss Super Night
August 18, 2005
Dave Magee, who injured his shoulder nearly a month ago in a mishap at Hawthorne, and Dale Hiteman, who was injured this past week at Springfield will both miss Illinois' annual Super Night, set for September 17 at Balmoral Park. Magee is the leading driver of Super Night winners with 23 to his credit.
Hiteman broke his collarbone in a mishap Tuesday afternoon, August 16 at Springfield. Hiteman was driving Keystone Resident in the $27,000 Review Stake (Race Eight) for two-year-old pacing colts when the youngster fell at the three-quarter pole. Hiteman walked away from the incident, in which no other horses were involved. Keystone Resident is trained by Tim Pinske.
