December 1, 2000 – Clyde’s Moment, driven by Jeff Cullipher, sets the world record for fillies or mares pacing on a track larger than one mile by winning in 1:50.4 at Colonial Downs in Virginia.

– The Paper Wazoo, driven by Bruce Ranger, sets the world record for 4-year-old geldings pacing on a five-eighths of a mile track by winning in 1:50.2 at Pompano Park.

December 3, 1988 – Mack Lobell, driven by John Campbell, wins the Van Lennep Memorial Invitational in 1:55.3 at Pompano Park.

December 4, 1994 – Pacific Rocket, driven by Jack Moiseyev, wins the Provincial Cup in 1:52.3 at Windsor Raceway in Ontario.

December 5, 1992 – Silent Spring, driven by John Hogan, wins the Matron 3-year-old pace in 1:52.4 at Pompano Park in Florida.

December 6, 1986 – Grades Singing, driven by Herve Filion, sets the world record for 4-year-old trotting mares by winning in 1:57 at Pompano Park.

December 6, 2001 – Luc Ouellette wins the 6,000th race of his career by guiding Instant Delivery to victory at the Meadowlands in New Jersey.

December 7, 1965 – Su Mac Lad retires at Roosevelt Raceway in New York with 68 wins and a then-record $885,095 in career earnings.

December 9, 1989 – Beach Towel, driven by Ray Remmen, wins the Matron for 2-year-old male pacers in 1:54.3 at Pompano Park.

December 10, 1996 – Billy "Zeke" Parker Jr. gets career win No. 6,000 when Good Knight Billy is victorious at Monticello Raceway in New York.

December 11, 1993 – Presidential Ball, driven by Jack Moiseyev, wins the final race of his career, the Presidential Ball Retirement Invitational, by three lengths in 1:54.1 at Greenwood Raceway in Ontario. He finishes his career with 26 wins in 38 starts and $3 million in purses.

December 12, 1966 -- Cardigan Bay, driven by Stanley Dancer, wins the Nassau Pace at Roosevelt Raceway in New York.

December 13, 1998 -- Browning Blue Chip, driven by John Campbell, wins the Matron for 3-year-old male pacers in 1:54.2 at Dover Downs in Delaware.

December 14, 1991 -- Must B Camelot, driven by Jack Moiseyev, wins the Matron Stakes for 3-year-old pacers in 1:53.2 at Pompano Park in Florida.

December 15, 1990 -- Mantese, driven by Mike Lachance, wins the Matron for 2-year-old pacers in 1:54.2 at Pompano Park.

December 16, 1950 -- Hall of Fame driver Mike Lachance is born in St. Augustin, Quebec.

December 17, 1988 -- Tranquil Storm, driven by Mickey McNichol, wins the Matron 3-year-old pace in 1:56.4 at Pompano Park.
